Cause
This is retirement due to permanent incapacity for service or the death of the civil servant, provided such incapacity or
death is caused by accident or illness in service or as a result of it
Unless otherwise proven, in act of service will be defined as when the permanent disability or the death of the civil servant took place in the workplace and during working hours.
Period without coverage
No period without coverage is required.
Calculation of the pension
The extraordinary retirement pension is calculated by applying,
at 200 for 100 of the corresponding base pay, the percentage corresponding to the
years of service given, with the particularly feature that, as well as the years of service accredited to that day, the full years remaining before the civil servant reaches retirement age shall also be considered as effective service. They shall be understood as having been provided at the scale or in the force, post or job the party concerned is attached to at the time when the declaration of retirement occurs.
The calculation of this type of benefit shall be carried out in accordance with the criteria previously given for ordinary pensions, although the base shall be taken at
200 for 100 and the years remaining before the civil servant reaches compulsory retirement age shall be considered as effective service to the State, as well as those accredited to that date. They shall be understood as having been provided at the scale or in the force, post, job or category to which the person was attached at the time of death.
