Passive Classes

In the Passive Classes Portal we offer you detailed and up-to-date information on the different types of benefits that we manage:

  • Pensions of the State Passive Class System
  • Pensions of special legislation arising from the civil war
  • Assistance to victims of violent crimes and crimes against sexual freedom
  • Advances from the Food Guarantee Fund

Here you can obtain the forms for applying for such benefits; know the regulations governing them, as well as the administrative procedure followed for their recognition or calculate the amount of your future pension, if you are an official close to retirement or retirement.

News

  • PENSIONERS RESIDING ABROAD:Pensioners living abroad must prove their experience to continue receiving the pension, through the corresponding Faith of Life issued by the Spanish consulate or embassy, which must be sent to this Directorate-General within the first quarter of each year. (The document of Faith in Consular Life must be issued between 1 January and 31 March.)
  • Entry into force on 1 April of ACTIVE RETIREMENT, regulated in Royal Decree-Law 11/2024 of 23 December, for the improvement of the compatibility of retirement pension with work.
  • The Mailbox of Consultations of Passive Classes, which is accessible from the "Services" section of this Portal, has been integrated with the Social Security Mailbox.To make any query related to Passive Classes, within the form, you must choose as Topic of the query: Regime of Passive Classes.
  • It will be attended exclusively by prior appointment, which can be requested by accessing the “Services” section of this portal.
  • For any consultation , the information telephone 900503055 from 9 to 15 hours and the Inquiry Box appearing in the "Services" section of this Portal.
  • Under the heading Passive Classes of the Social Security e-Office (https://sede.seg-social.gob.es), citizens may, on their own behalf or through their representatives, manage certain procedures relating to pensions and Passive Class benefits electronically. These procedures require electronic certificate, electronic ID or Cl@ve.

  • Act No. 31/2022 of 23 December on the General State Budget for 2023. Article 59.3:

    Modification of Article 20 of Law 35/2006, in relation to the reduction applicable to work income (insofar as it affects the calculation of the retention base) and a paragraph 3 is introduced in the D.A. 47th of the aforementioned law to establish that these normative modifications will be applied to the calculation of the type of retention in relation to the returns of work that are satisfied from 1 February 2023, regularizing if appropriate the type of retention applied in the month of January.
